Grieve not, nor speak of me with tears, but laugh
and talk of me as if I were beside you...I loved you so - twas Heaven here with you.
April 2002 - November 24, 2003
Molly was Baby's sister and right after I had to
put him to rest, I ran back to the vets with all three of my kitties to be tested for FeLV. My heart broke when I found that
Molly also had the virus. I was told that she could live a lot longer and possibly the virus may not come out to attack her
body.
The first week of November I came home from work
and discovered Molly lying on a pillow, burning up from fever. I had no idea she was even sick. I ran to the vet for some
antibiotic and then she spent a few days at the vets receiving fluids and food by syringe. She came through this and a week
later she wasn't eating again. She would go to the vets a few more times for fluids and food. Finally, I requested that I
be able to give her the fluids at home as running to the vets was stressing her out.
November 22nd, we enjoyed a beautiful warm day outside
with Molly and told her how much we loved her. She was her happy self rubbing on the cement and showing her love all day with
headbutts and rubs. We observed a little whirlwind of leaves that traveled through our front yard, through our driveway, and
across the street into the woods.
That was the last time I saw Molly as herself. On
November 24th, around 8am, I had to help her to the bridge to relieve her of the awful suffering from FeLV.
